About me..

As far back as I can remember, food has been my passion.  It’s the one thing I can honestly say that has been a constant in my life.

Not to say I sit at the grocery cupboard scoffing my life away, quite the contrary.  For me it’s about the flavours, the different textures, food combinations, well I’m certain you get the picture – before I get too carried away in my own little world…

So at the tender age of thirteen I started waitressing at this quaint country restaurant (at this point I should tell you it’s probably their fault I am so committed to food).  I remained with the restaurant until I finally finished school, and moved on to your good old traditional Irish pub as the kitchen manageress / chef….by this time I had hit the point of no return!

Feeling the need to broaden my knowledge on food and the industry I decide to travel abroad where I worked in London for just under a year…what an experience, awesome!  Upon my return I found myself working for a wedding venue where I was head chef catering weddings, functions and corporate events.  As time went by, life changed,  I married, had two awesome kiddies, I divorced and yet…my zealousness for food had not dwindled…

Catering for friends and family from time to time alongside the odd cooking lessons, I finally decided to dive in head first into a blog, offering my insight, knowledge and hopefully gaining from all the readers worldwide! (fantastic technology today!)
